Cubism Progress

 

I started with using the same technique that we were talking about in class

For her jacket, I made the shapes bigger so there would be more focus on her face.

For the background I figured I’d try the same technique, but with bigger and more basic shapes

Hyper realism progress

In order to allow the cameras to fit over the family’s heads, I had to trim them down. Eventually I just cut them out of their whole original picture and filled the back in with a “wall” color, which made life much easier and made the picture look better overall.

 

 

Here I did some quick work on some photos so I could put them up as pictures on the Camera Family’s wall. Since these were going to be smaller details I kept it pretty basic.

Here’s the final product. it was fun to work on and fun to just think about what a world of camera people would have actually been like.

I’ve started my portrait of Katya and it’s coming along pretty well. I just need to work on the clothes and then the details like filling the gaps
